Hypnotiq sponsors local and national hip-hop choreographers to provide students with opportunities to explore different dance styles. Hypnotiq's goal is to foster the growth of students as dancers and individuals, while promoting cultural awareness.

Trae realized his passion for dance, choreography and teaching early in life after he began break dancing with the J-Town Breakers. Having grown up in urban America with limited hip-hop classes or instructors, Trae developed an expressive, unfiltered style that reflects his experiences and combines commercial pop with raw Hip-Hop movements such as B-Boy style and California hip hop.

Cedric started dancing at a young age with his parents' Christian band and hasn't been able to live without dance ever since then. Cedric infuses hip hop with many different styles of dance, which gives his style uniqueness. He believes dance is not just physical movement, but that dance is a mixture of emotions that are expressed through movement and held together by a psychological fixation. ..."A lot of my inspiration comes from cartoons - they pretty much disobey the laws of reality. When you do a show, you don't want it compared to anything else," he said. "And when it comes to hip-hop, the first thing that comes to people's minds are negative thoughts, and we should change that."
